The death occurred suddenly at his residence in New Glasgow, P.E.I., on Sunday, May 9, 2010, of Wayne Buote, age 61.
Wayne was the beloved husband of Lise (nee Paré); and loving father of Christopher (Margot) and Patrick of Rusticoville.
He was the dear brother of Vera (Doug) Collister, Toronto Road; Vernon (Marion), Rusticoville; Geraldine (Pete) Bradley, Port Hope, Ontario; Beryl (Bernie) Doiron, Rusticoville; Rowena (Mike) Lawlor, Charlottetown; Glenn (Gracie), Whitecourt, Alberta; Faren (Helen), Red Deer, Alberta; Selwyn (Dottie), Mayfield; and Trevor (Shirley), Whitecourt, Alberta.
Wayne is also survived by his mother-in-law, Frances Paré; brothers-in-law, Marc (Francine), Daniel (Lina), Louis (Céline) and George; and sisters-in-law, Hélène (Claude) Roy and Suzanne (Daniel) Plante, all residing in Québec; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Clarice Buote; brothers, Parker, Vance, Raye and Lloyd; and his father-in-law, Daniel Paré.
Resting at the Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, May 13, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Friday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. Interment at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Bamboo Children's Society (www.bamboochildren.org) would be appreciated.
Wayne was a very successful businessman in P.E.I. He and his family own and operate Blue Heron Enterprises, having built hundreds of homes and commercial buildings during the past 40 years. They also own and operate North Rustico Home Centre.
