Marie Esther Doucette, 93, of Loggieville, with her family at her side, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday May 10, 2010. Born in Loggieville, NB, the daughter of the late Edmund and Alexandrine (Duke) Comeau. Esther was a loving wife, Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was an avid Bingo fan and loved a good game of Auction, but first and foremost, she enjoyed spending precious time with her loving family. Esther will be sadly missed by her children, Paul (at home), Theresa (Abby Traer), Sandra (Hilaire Daigle), Diane (Bob Walsh), Gerard (Carole), and Anne (Darryl Roy) all of Miramichi and surrounding area, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Gelose Doucette and sister-in-law Sr. Rena Doucette both of Miramichi, sister-in-law Cecelia Bard, Eva Whitty both of Hamilton Ontario, She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Esther Doucette is resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi on Wednesday, May 12th from 7 to 9 and on Thursday, May 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11am from St Michael's Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St Andrew's Cemetery.
