We, the family of Allan James Fewer, regret to announce his passing on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, Allan was the son of the late Gregory and Ruth (Hareguy) Fewer.
He was employed at Membertou Trade and Convention Center.
Allan is survived by his son, Glen (Sammi), Grande Prairie, Alta.; and his daughter, Shauna (Steve), Sydney. Also surviving are sisters, Colleen (Wilfred) MacCormick, Truro, Patricia (Greg) MacLean, Sydney River, Ruth (Frank Delaney) Ryan, Sydney, Rebecca (Eugene Magliaro) Barrington, Sydney, Sheila (Gary Carew) Fewer, Sydney; and brothers, Gregory, Ontario, and Gary (Maxine), Northside East Bay; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery on Friday, 11 a.m., with Rev. Reg Currie officiating. Following interment, a reception will take place at Membertou Trade and Convention Center.
Memorials may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center.
