Marjorie Scott of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully on May 13, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Marjorie was born June 28, 1925 in Moose Jaw and grew up on the Archive district where she attended Brooksfield School. Early in her career she worked at the Bell Phone Comp in Hamilton, ON, and with SaskTel. In 1951 she married the love of her life, John and in 1952 the twins, Wally and Wendy came along. Marjorie was a partner in the couple's farming activities, working beside John every step of the way. She was a member of the South Saskatchewan Wildlife Association Ladies Auxilliary. Marjorie treasured time spent with her grandchildren, and was a talented sewer. She enjoyed square dancing, curling, bowling, arts, crafts, and was an active volunteer. Predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and an infant daughter Janet. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her children: Wally, Wendy (Phil) Croisetiere; grandchildren Gary Scott, James (Jennifer) Scott and their son Eli; Allison (Jeff) Bruce and their children Ceanna and Cassidy; Jennifer Scott; Michael (Caroline) Tiede and their children Cole, Morgan, and Landon; and Amy (Shawn) Eby; sister Alice Anthony; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Monday May 17, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. Memorialization will take place with John at Sunset Cemetery. For those so wishing, memorials to the Providence Place Healing Garden Fund, 100 2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, would be appreciated.
