The death of Crailey Gillies of Quispamsis, NB formerly of Ottawa, ON, husband of Linda (Dwyre) Gillies, occurred on Friday, May 14th, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Lemeul and Hazel (Hadden) Gillies. Besides his loving wife, Linda, Crailey is also survived by his daughter, Glenna Brodhagen of French Lake, NB; his son, Crailey Gillies of Lakeville, NB; one step-daughter, Anna-Marie Savage (Cameron) of Watertown, NY; two step-sons, Michael Vincent (Lorraine) of Canmore, AB and Mark Vincent of Gananoque, ON; special granddaughter, Kristina Brodhagen and several cousins.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119. A reception will immediately follow the service, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Union Cemetery, Belleisle Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
