On Monday, May 10, 2010, Winnifred Grace Reitan passed away suddenly at the age of 82 years. Winnifred was born December 12, 1927 in Assiniboia. She grew up on the family farm in the Leeville District. On March 10, 1948, Winnifred married George Reitan. The couple farmed for 35 years till moving to Assiniboia. After 11 years, they moved to Moose Jaw where she has since resided. Winnifred's favorite pastimes were gardening, sewing, crafts and needlework. Win enjoyed travelling and camping with her husband George. They travelled many miles together in their motor home and fifth-wheel trailer. She is predeceased by her husband George of 52 years, her parents, Simon and Elizabeth Stalker, her two brothers, Jack Stalker and Donald Stalker; brothers-in-law Bill Peterson and Tory Tronrud, and sister-in-law Reta Stalker. She leaves to mourn two sisters, Minnie Peterson and Beatrice Tronrud, and one brother, Bruce Stalker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel, Moose Jaw on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, or the Alzheimer's Association, #301 - 2550 12th Ave., Regina, S4P 3X1.
