Harry Lloyd Secord, 88, of DVA Unit, Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton formerly of Chipman, N.B., passed away May 17th, 2010 at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Long Creek, N.B., he was the son of the late Walter and Jesse (Patterson) Secord. After serving with the R.C.A.F. in W.W.II as an ordinance technician, he returned to New Brunswick and worked as a Provincial Forest Ranger with the Department of Natural Resources until retirement. Harry is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his loving wife: Madelin; one daughter: Brenda Snider of Moncton, N.B.; two sons: Vernon (Marie) of Whitby, Ontario and David (Tammy) of New Minas; four grandchildren: Andrew, Allison, Adam and Stephen; two great grandchildren: Charles and Finlay. He was predeceased by five sisters: Marion, Susan, Bessie, Florence and Ada; five brothers: Clifford, Gordon, George, Charlie and Ralph. The late Harry Lloyd Secord is resting at the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook where visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and also where the funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 21st. Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will take place at North Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Family flowers only.
