1942 - 2010 - Gloria Ricker of Hillsborough passed away suddenly at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Born in London, ON daughter of the late Douglas and Jean (Mellish) Burt. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 34 years Bill Ricker, two sons, Stephen (Terry) Johnston of London, ON, Shaun (Stacie) Johnston of Moncton, daughter, Sherry (Alan) Phillips of Moncton, seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Mandy, Missy, Beth, Bradly, Mandy and Alysia as well as two great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Gordon (Barb) Burt, Danny (Kathy) Burt, one sister Judy (Jim) Jones and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Gloria was predeceased by one brother Art. Gloria was avid Folk Artist and Teacher for over 20 years. She liked gardening, nature and loved spending time with her family and foster kids, Gerry, Alex and Justin as well as all previous children.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held from the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, May 22 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. A private interment will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date. Remembrances in Gloria's memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.
