1942-2010 - Harry Dale Robinson, 67, of Riverview, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the Moncton Hospital from complications of heart disease. We are so saddened by the death of this wonderful man, born in Moncton he was the son of the late Arnold and Mary (Collins) Robinson. Harry had a very long career with Sobeys stores in the Moncton area. He started in 1958 as a carry out boy ending up as manager of several stores in the area, finally in Riverview opening the first Sobeys in 1984. He was so proud of the Sobeys Company, it was the one thing he said made him so happy to get up and look forward to the next challenge of the week and anyone in the grocery business knows, there were plenty. He retired in 1997, after a bit of travelling, he started going to the Sobeys store everyday just to see what was going on, he really missed the contact with everyone. A new position was on the board, Community Room Co-Coordinator was in the works for Sobeys. Harry was asked if he wanted to have the position and if so, to come in and have fun and he loved that job with a passion and held it for 9 years and planned on at least 10 more as it was something he enjoyed with each person he came in contact with. Harry also enjoyed morning visits at Tim Hortons in Riverview with his buddies. Harry and Pat lived at Buckingham Place for 13 years and helped make the flowers a pleasure for everyone who lived in the building and the community. Harry leaves to mourn his passing, his best friend and soul mate of 40 years, Patricia "Pat" (Cormier); his dearly beloved brother, Don "Tex" (Sherry), Bridgetown, NS; nieces, Deborah Chapman (Bill), Sharon Hill (Randy); nephew, Scott Robinson (Tracy) and their children; sisters in law, Wendy Boudreau (Mike), Marsha Hache (Don), Stephanie LeBlanc (Bobby), Pamela Cormier; brother in law, Gerry Cormier (Nancy), also several nieces and nephews.
Harry's wishes were to have no sadness at his passing, in keeping with Harry's wishes, no visitation hours or Funeral Service. In Harry's memory, donations to the memorial of your choice would be appreciated. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
