The family of Lison "Lee" Morrissey of Quispamsis are deeply sadden to announce her death which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 23, 2010 at the age of 48 after more than a five year struggle with Pancreatic Cancer. Loving wife for over 25 years to Floyd Morrissey and mother of Megan, Benjamin and Victoria all at home. Lison was born in Neguac to Sophie (Breau) of Neguac and the late Omer Savoie. She is survived by five brothers Denis (Laudina), Robert, Isaie (Rejeanne), David (Louise) and Bruno; five sisters Claudette Mallet (Alyre), Justine Savoie (Blair), Helene Drisdelle (Jean-Claude), Manette St. Coeur (Yvon) and Jeanne Savoie (Jim) all of the Neguac area. Lison came to Saint John in the early 80's and enjoyed Barbering at Ken Steens Barber Shop until starting a family on Darling's Island. She then returned to work in her later years as the owner and operator of Rothesay Corner Barbershop until she was diagnosed with her illness. She was a loving wife, mother and friend and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and tending to her flower gardens.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424), with visitation on Wednesday May 26, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mark's Catholic Church 171 Pettingill Rd., Quispamsis, NB on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. Private family burial will be held at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Lison can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
