Cunningham, Marion Gertrude- 87, of Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, formerly of Shelburne, passed away peacefully in Roseway Hospital on May 18, 2010. Born in North East Point she was a daughter of the late Ethren and Mabel (Smith) Cunningham. Marion worked at Shelburne Fisheries, Department of Transportation and retired as Deputy Clerk for the Municipality of Shelburne. She devoted many hours of her time canvassing for several charitable organizations and was also a former member of the Roseway Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Marion spent many enjoyable hours working in her flower garden. She is survived by sisters, Jane Pottier, Roslindale, Ma.; Bessie Harris, Lower Ohio and brother in-law, Sidney McNevin as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Kathleen Swansburg and her husband Ralph, Frances McNevin and brothers in-law, Herbert Harris and Sylvester Pottier. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
