John Nelson MacVicar, age 82, passed away May 17, 2010, at the home of his daughter, Debbie in Milwaukie, Oregon, USA.
Born in Birch Grove, he was the son of the late John and Eleanor MacVicar.
He is survived by six children, Heather and Norman in California, Debbie, Robina and Tom of Oregon and Jim of Washington.
He was predeceased by brothers, Tommy Ralston, Danny and Bud.
Survived by brothers, Archie of California, Ralph and David of Glace Bay; sisters, Dorothy, California and Doris of Windsor, Ont.
John was a true Cape Bretoner, who was well loved and his kindness to all will be greatly remembered.
A private family service will be held in Oregon. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be buried here in Cape Breton.
