Alfred Vienneau
Alfred J. Vienneau aged 78 years of Springhill, NS, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill, NS. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the Late Joseph "Abel" & Anna Elmira (O'Hara) Vienneau.
His early working years were spent with The Dominion Railway and Coal Company as a miner, later as a carpenter then ending his working career as Anne Murray's maintenance man at her summer residence. He was a Ham Radio operator for many years and a self taught computer whiz. who often helped friends and family with computer problems. Alfred was an avid hunter, fishermen, outdoorsmen, reader; he also enjoyed writing poetry, music, playing his guitar, oil painting, wood carving and his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years the former Dena Melanson; a niece Mary (Mike) Simmons, Pitt Meadows, BC; nephews, John (Katrina) Christopher, Prince William, NB and Jim Christoper , Five Islands, NS; grand nephew, Aaron Simmons.
Predeceased by his sister, Alberta (Harold) Christopher.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, (902 597 2361). A Graveside Committal Service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 12:00 noon in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, Reverend Brieanna Andrews officiating. Following the serice, family will receive friends at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre, Main Street, Springhill, for a time of fellowship
