The death of Ferdinand Meyer of Minto, NB occurred Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at the Chalmer's Regional Hospital. Born in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Frederick and Juliette (Debille) Meyer. Survived by his loving wife Leota (Murray) Meyer; sons, Terry Meyer (Sara) of Moncton, NB and Dwight Meyer (Maria Scott) of Minto, NB; daughter Connie Lane (Peter) of New Maryland, NB; grandchildren, Sara-lynn Stewart (Jason), Julie Ann Pearce (Jim), Carrie Baskett (Mark), Jeremy and Timothy (Nivanthi); great grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Stewart; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Ferdinand was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kimberly Ann; brothers, Frederick JR. (Fritzie) and Victor; a sister, Edith Frances. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, a coal miner for forty years then a plumber by trade. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family.
In keeping with Ferdinand's wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Ferdinand's life will be held 2:00PM Friday, June 4th, 2010 from the Parker Memorial Chapel of the Minto Funeral Home. Final resting place will be in the Baptist Cemetery, Minto, NB www.mintofh.com
