At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, June 4, 2010, of Eston Spurgeon Ramsay of Tyne Valley age 79, beloved husband of Evelyn (Bowness) Ramsay. Born Jan. 18, 1931, in Summerside, son of the late Spurgeon and Ada (MacArthur) Ramsay. Dear father of Garth (Linda) from Port Alberni, B.C.; Barb (Scott) Stewart from Charlottetown; Paul (Sylvia Nowak) from Toronto, Ont.; Sandra (Paul) Gowan from Toronto. Stepfather of Colleen (Don) Brennan, Doug (Ann) Hayes, Nora (Ken) Stapyleton, Barbara (Sebastian Chew), Hayes, Robert (Angela) Hayes. Loving grandfather of Lisa and Michael, great-grandchild Harlow and 13 step-grandchildren. Brother of Mildred (Grant) Mollison. Brother-in-law of Janet Ramsay and Elaine Ramsay. Predeceased by his first wife Ruth (MacLean) Ramsay, parents, brothers Lyman, Byron and sister Nina (George) Phillips. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prince Edward Island Cancer Treatment Centre, Charlottetown, would be appreciated.
