Oliver Hudson Graham
TRENTON - On June 5, 2010, at 11:18 p.m., at home surrounded by family and after a long and difficult journey, Oliver Hudson Graham allowed himself to rest. Oliver had battled Stage 4 Neuroblastoma three separate times since September 5, 2008, with a courage and strength far beyond his three short years. Since his first diagnosis, Oli was challenged with impossible obstacles and, yet, somehow managed to overcome them with maturity, grace, and always with a smile on his face. His greatest love besides Mommy, Daddy, and his big brother Jax, was trains. Oliver loved all things trains and it was a rare occasion for him to be seen without one or more of his trains in hand. On many occasions, it was his trains that became his motivation to simply be a child and have fun. Oliver had a lion's heart. He was sweet and gentle and embodied a truly ferocious will. He loved life, even when there wasn't much to love about it. He was a true inspiration and the most amazing little boy you could ever meet.
Oliver is survived by his parents, Drew and Kaitlin (Campbell) Graham, and big brother, Jax Graham; grandparents: Diana Graham, Ken Graham, Kevin Campbell (Jane Cameron), Adele and Sheldon Cameron. Oli is also survived by great-grandmothers: Helen Graham, Kathleen Campbell and Irene MacDonald.
Donations in Oliver's name can be made to the Oncology Family Support Fund at the I.W.K. Health Centre in Halifax.
Visitation will take place at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, on Wednesday, June 9, from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday June, 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, at the Trenton Park Amphitheatre, Trenton. Reception to follow at the Trenton Rink.
