John W. A. Morris, 57, of San Diego, CA and formerly of Harcourt, NB, passed away peacefully in San Diego on Sunday, June 13, 2010 after a 13 month battle with cancer. Born in Harcourt, he was the son of the late George and Hazel (Thorne) Morris. John was a power lineman and enjoyed golfing, fishing, travelling and spending precious time with his family and friends. John will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth (Kaye) Morris, formerly of Riverview; daughters, Amanda Morris, Halifax, NS, Angela Smith (Colt), Calgary, AB; brothers, Phillip (Sharon) and Danny (Karen), both of Harcourt, Carman (Nancy), Huntsville, ON, Tim (Cheryl), Rexton; sisters, Dianne Cudmore (Vaughn), Loretta (Ann) Agnew (Charles), Nancy Morris, Sandra Tingley (Arnold), all of Harcourt, Sylvia Warren (Everett), Memramcook, Sue LeBlanc (Don) and Ava Wylie, both of Moncton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday, 7 to 9 pm. Celebration of Life Service for John at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 1:30 pm, Rev. Cecil Symes officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Harcourt Cemetery.
