Lavina Myrtle Salter L'Hirondelle - age 85 passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at her home in Chilliwack B.C. She was born Feb. 12, 1925 in Summerville, Hants Co., N.S. to the late Earl and Martha (Burgess) Lake. She is survived by her daughters Carol Salter of Summerville, Hants Co., N.S. and Rose (Len) Patterson of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Grand children Lance Patterson, Lane Patterson, Lisa Lockhart, Larry Chappell, William Chappell and great grandchildren Alli, Lea, Macy, Riley, Kalen, Christian, Cameron and MacKenzie. She was predeaseaed by first husband Logan Salter and husband Paul L'Hirondelle, sisters Viola, Estelle and Lillian (MacKenzie), brother Earnest, daughter Peggy (Dargatz) and niece Kay Bridgeforth. Myrtle was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Church for many years. A memorial service was held on May 13, 2010 at Glad Tidings Church in Chilliwack B.C. A committal service will be held on July 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Musgrove Cemetery in Summerville, Hants Co., N.S. Refreshments will follow at Carol Salter's home at 5236 Hwy 215 Summerville. Donations may be made to Musgrove Cemetery or a charity of one's choice. Family flowers only.
