Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, of Anne Marie LeClair, beloved wife of Gerard C. LeClair of Ascension, aged 78 years. Born in Nail Pond on Feb. 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Alphie and Dorothy (nee Arsenault) Arsenault. Cherished mother to Tom (Barb) of Charlottetown; Dale (Betty) of Beeton, Ont.; Kate (Merlin) Cormier of Summerside; Ed (Claudette) of Ascension; Kenneth (deceased); and Doug (Patty) of Kensington. Loving Nanny to Michelle, Cory, Matt, Luke, Maria, Abi, Megan, Chelsea, Josie, Maggie and Hannah. Great-grandmother to Erin, Stephen and Liam. Dear sister to Elizabeth Gallant of Skinners Pond; Anita Arsenault of Charlottetown; Freddie Arsenault of Ontario; George (Nelda) Arsenault of Nail Pond; Phillip (Josephine) Arsenault of Nail Pond; John Arsenault of Toronto; Victor (Annie) Arsenault of Victoria, P.E.I. She is also survived by a brother-in-law Brad (Frances) LeClair of Ascension and by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Kenneth and by brothers and sister: William, Mary, Eddie, Uldric, Cyril and Andrew. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday, June 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday morning, June 25, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
