Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday June 28, 2010, Mrs. Laura J. Smith of Tilton, NL, in her 86th year. She is pre-deceased by her husband Moses, parents Joseph and Alfreda Roberts, daughter Evelyn Sheppard, brother Gordon, sisters Evelyn Drover, Hazel Verge. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughter Geraldine (Harry Richards) of Tilton, sons Freeman (Eileen) of Victoria, Gordon (Sharon) of Cambridge Ont., Terry (Marjorie) of Clarke's Beach, Wallace of Woodstock Ont. Sisters Olive Sheppard and Florence Pynn, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place from all Saints Anglican Church in Tilton on Thursday July 1, 2010 with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Tilton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Young's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay.
