LONG-Lillian Joyce (nee Morris) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Long, beloved wife of Jack Long, after a brief illness. Joyce was born March 20, 1946 and passed away in Saskatoon on June 29, 2010 at the age of 64 years. Joyce was born and raised in Prince Albert. She worked at Burns, CIBC, the City of Prince Albert, Parkland Ambulance, several retail stores and most recently as a Medical Office Assistant for Dr. Swamy. She was very active in community volunteer work including Crimestoppers, Prince Albert Housing Authority, the Mental Health Review Panel and the West Flat Citizens Group. Joyce is survived by 3 daughters, Tracey Morris, Lana (Nyle) Wasylenchuk of La Ronge, Laura (Stephen) Crawford of Prince Albert; "Nana's" grandchildren, Taylor Wasylenchuk, Kruiz Wasylenchuk, Mackenzie Crawford, Kassidy Crawford & Jorden Crawford, Shauntal Crawford, Dominique Crawford & Maxwell Crawford; her brother, Bill (Patty) Morris of Saskatoon; her sisters, Hazel Acorn of Prince Albert, Isobell "Diz" (Jack) Riddell of Moose Jaw, Ellen Tarasiuk of Dryden, Ontario; her sister-in-law, Tracey (Jim) Third of Barriere Lake, BC; her brothers-in-law, Bob (Cheri) Long of Iqaluit, Nunavut, Garry (Sarah) Long of La Ronge, Tim Long of Creighton, Kelly (Susan) Long of Holbein; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Rena & Raymond Morris; her mother & father-in-law, Dorothy & Bruce Long; her niece, Christine Morris; her brothers-in-law, Edgar Acorn and James Wodham.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at Northern Funeral Service-MacKenzie Chapel on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date. Coffee and dainties will be served after the service at the Salvation Army Hall, 163-12th Street East, Prince Albert. Memorial donations can be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan or to the donor's choice.
