Gordon Lampman

LAMPMAN - Gordon Allan Lampman of Kyle, SK, was born August 13, 1927, in Tuberose, SK, lived and farmed near Kyle for over 60 years and died July 2, 2010, at the age of 82 years in the Elrose Health Centre. Gordon is survived by his daughter, Jackie Heindle and her husband Del of Saskatoon and four granddaughters, Chelsea (Keith Vander Heide) of Kyle, Julie Heindle of Calgary, Emmalee and Natalie Heindle of Saskatoon; and his younger brother Boyd (Sylvia) Lampman of Calgary, brother-in law Doug McMillan of Leader, cousins Marion (Gordon) Smith of Rosetown and Lorraine (Garner) Dawe of Wiseton; dear friends Doug and Judy Reeves of Byemoor, AB; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Verna Lampman (nee Griffith); parents, Harvey and Myrtle Lampman; and elder brother Leonard Lampman; sisters-in-law Lou McMillan and Annette Akister; brother-in-law, Donald Akister; and his housekeeper and best friend for 35 years, Maude Reeves. A graveside service was held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 6, in the White Bear Cemetery. The Kyle Elks and Royal Purple provided a wonderful lunch in the Kyle Elks Community Hall. Dad loved his community and was always ready to lend a helping hand, so Memorial Donations may be made to the Kyle Rec Centre or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Clements Rosetown Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
