The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Monday, July 5, 2010, of A. Arlene Drake (nee Ings) of Stratford and formerly of Vernon Bridge and Millview, age 76 years.
Beloved wife of the late Wynston Drake, and mother of Dale Drake (Marcella) of Cornwall, and Kathy Drake (Robert Jesso) of Vernon Bridge. Much loved Nan to Morgan Drake (Jennifer Palmer) of Vernon River, and Bethany MacIsaac (Rodney Skinner of Lower Sackville, N.S.). Beloved Gran-Nan to Noah MacIsaac-Skinner. Sister of Allison Ings (Rosie) of Ontario and Lorraine Ings Tang (Thien) of York Point. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Arlene is predeceased by brother; Kenneth Ings; sisters, Adele Wood Stewart and Erma Dixon; and grandson, Justin Drake.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Tuesday, July 6, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 7, at St. Andrew's United Church, Vernon Bridge, at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit, Cancer Society or St. Andrew's United Church would be greatly appreciated.
