Surrounded by her loving family, Lilian Isobel (nee Bright) Cook of McAdam, NB, passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital, on Thursday, July 8th, 2010. Lilian was born in McAdam, May 16, 1920, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (Scott) Bright. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed time spent with friends, especially the "Club Girls".
Survived by her husband, of 61 years, Giles; twin daughters, Janet Farrell (Garnett) of Oakville, ON and Janice Cook of Fredericton; and one brother, Daniel Bright (Beatrice) of Nepean, Ontario. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Laurie and Roland.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Lilian's caregivers, Alice Tracy, Harold Dickinson, and Patsy Gardner, and to the nurses and staff of the William F. Duffie and Palliative Care Units at the Oromocto Public Hospital.
Resting at St. Paul's United Church, 155 Saunders Road, McAdam, with visiting hours on Saturday, July 10th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 11th, 2010 at 2:30 pm at St. Paul's United Church with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. Interment to follow in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to St. Paul's United Church or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
