Mrs. Avis Myrtle Leiper, of Saint John, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on July 15th, 2010, at the age of 95.
Avis is survived by her children, G. Allen Leiper (Shirley), of Sussex, and Velma MacKinnon (Allan), of Saint John; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald R. MacCallum (Glenneth), of Saint John; her sisters, Josie Christophersen, of Perth-Andover, NB, and Mabel Eagles of Plaster Rock, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur Neal, and George MacCallum.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held at the Calvary Pentecostal Church on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
A Celebration of Avis's life will be held from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Monday, July 19th, 2010 at 11:00 am.
As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Palliative Care Unit, Carsonville Cemetery or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
