It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Blois age 66. Robert passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Alfred and Christine (MacPhee) Blois. Robert was employed with Devco for several years.
Robert will be sadly missed by his only daughter, Ann Christine and her mother, Paula (Campbell) Blois; brothers, Reggie (Glenda), Jackie (Sally), Lawrence (Colleen); sisters, Dorothy Podgurski, Sylvia (Deucie) Wrice, Rose Baldwin, Eleanor (Graham) Brownell, Rita (Keith) Mulvey and Linda (Jerry) Croney.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Junior and nephew, Jerry.
In honoring Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel with Pastor Bruce DeYoung and Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to Cape Breton Palliative Care.
