Anna (Ramsay) Jamieson, 97, of McLeans, Simsbury, CT and formerly of East Hartford, CT passed away on Tuesday July, 20, 2010. She was born on Sept. 24, 1912 in Hamilton, Prince Edward Island. She was the daughter of the late Winfred and Pearl (Duggan) Ramsay of Hamilton, P.E.I. Anna was the wife of the late Ronald Pope Jamieson of East Hartford, CT. She is survived by her three children; Myrna Fredericks of Torrington, CT, Alexander Jamieson and his wife Cynthia of Simsbury, CT and Susan LaPenta and her husband Gerald of Harwinton, CT. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren; Joseph Fredericks of Ashland, ME, April Martin of Killingworth, CT, Samantha Mayerjak of Torrington, CT, Matthew Jamieson of Simsbury, CT, Alan Jamieson of Duxbury, MA, Gerald LaPenta of Bristol, CT, Rebecca Warkoski of Bristol, CT and Suzanne Tournas of Wilton, CT. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Lauren LaPenta of Harwinton, CT. Anna's great-grandchildren are Gretchen O'Hara, Dylon Fredericks, Jerome Brackman, Carly Fredericks, Jamieson Polisky, Lydia Mayerjak, Alex Jamieson, Anna Jamieson, Ashley LaPenta, Gerald LaPenta IV, Sarah Warkoski, Stephen Warkoski, Andrew Warkoski and Nicholas Tournas. Anna is survived by a brother, Clifford Ramsay and a sister, Reta Silliphant of Prince Edward Island. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Anna was an active member of the Burnside Methodist Church of East Hartford for over 50 years and will be remembered for her many church and community activities. Anna never lost her love of Prince Edward Island and returned each summer to spend time with family members. Family and friends will gather at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury on Sunday, July 25 at Vincent Funeral Home, Simsbury from 2-3 p.m. with a service to remember Anna's life starting at 3 p.m. Burial will be private.
