Passed away at his residence as a result of a aneurysm on Monday July 26, 2010 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late June Johnson and loving father of Bruce of Port Colborne, Sharon and her husband Erroll of Aurora, Glenn and his wife Nina of Port Colborne and Karen of Burlington. Loving grandpa of Amy, Melissa, Sarah, Carly, Derek and Emily. Dear brother of Tom, Douglas, Margaret, Floyd, Grace and Donny. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Clara Johnson, first born infant son Allan, brothers Frank, Stan and sisters Edith and Doris. Howard was employed at John Deere for 38 years as a Senior Engineering Analyst retiring in 1984. He was a current member of Korean Veterans Association serving 3 years in the Canadian Army Artillery and 13 months in Korea. He was a past member of the Welland Chamber of Commerce, Indian Head Lodge R.A.O. B. and with the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 56 Port Colborne for 45 years.
Cremation has taken place. The Family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 1 - 2 p.m. A memorial service will then take place in the Armstrong Chapel at 2 p.m. following visitation with Reverend Robert Hurkmans officiating.
