Sheila McGregor

McGREGOR - Sheila Roberta McGregor passed away July 17, 2010, at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 68 years. She was born July 1, 1941, in Brandon, MB, and shortly after moved with her mother and sister to Webb, Saskatchewan. After graduating, she attended college in Medicine Hat for bookkeeping/office administration. In 1951, she met the love of her life Orville McGregor at a local dance. They were married October 27, 1961, and that same year she began her career at Revelstoke Hardware where she remained until 1979 when the family then moved to Olds to start O.H.McGregor Oilfield Services that remains operating today. Sheila always loved to learn and experience new challenges such as obtaining her real estate license. She also enjoyed numerous hobbies such as cooking, needlework, and cake decorating. Sheila always made her opinions very clear and for those of you who knew her can certainly agree. She was always ready and willing to help anyone that needed it. She will be sadly missed by her family and all that knew her Sheila is survived by her loving husband Orville; two sons Michael (Val) and Paul; grandchildren Amanda (John) Dutchak, Alyssia, Stephanie; great-grandson Brodie; mother June Gatzke; sister Shirley Terlson; and step-sister Lorie Parker. A memorial tea was held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #105, Olds. Memorial donations may be made directly to the CNIB, Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
