M. Doreen Whitehead of Newcastle Creek, NB passed away July 30, 2010 at home with her family. This was possible thanks to the care of Dr. Morrissy and the very special Extra-mural nurses from the Oromocto unit who work in Minto. Doreen was born in Saint John, NB on May 17, 1931, a daughter of the late Frederick and Leona (Bradshaw) Brown.
She was the devoted wife of Robert S. Whitehead and dear mom to sons Stephen (Wanarat) and Danny (Ernestine) and daughter Judy Fasquel (Roy). She loved her grandchildren, Theresa, Jody, Jessica and Sasha and her great grandchildren, Kelsey, Taylor and Madison. Doreen is also survived by a sister, Hester Hobday and a brother, Raymond Brown; her special in-laws, Anne and Lorris Boucher; a special niece, Valerie Hunter and several other caring nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doreen was predeceased by a brother, Bill Brown and two sisters, Marguerite Olsen and Laura Hachey.
At Doreen's request there will be no visitation. Services will be held at a later date for close family members.
