Dorothy Nason
Passed on: August 30th, 2010
Dorothy Elizabeth (McLellan) Nason of White Rapids Manor passed away at the Manor on July 30, 2010 at the age of 90. Dorothy arrived in Fredericton Junction in 1950 to accept a nursing assistant position at the Queens Sunbury West Memorial Hospital. She met her husband, Alec, while working there. The Tracy area became her home, where Dot and Alec raised their "girls". Mom loved the Nason family and their friendship and company meant so much to her. She enjoyed sewing and baking and took pride in keeping her home. In 1985 Dot retired after working several years at the "Goody Shop" in Fredericton and often spoke fondly of Dick and Barb and her time there. We miss her already but she leaves us each with wonderful memories. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Isabelle Sprague (Raymond) Tracyville, Trinda Parr (Douglas), Fredericton, sister Glenna Karnes, Woodstock, sister-in-law Vivian Nason, four grandchildren, Leigh Sprague (Erin), Matthew Sprague (Vivienne), Matthew Parr (Jennifer), Vicki Parr-Gallant (Jason), two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Nettie Marsten and Chester McLellan, her husband Alexander (Alec).
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitations on Sunday, August 1 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.
