Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, July 30, 2010, Mr. Richard Hunt of Clarke's Beach, aged 101 years. Mr. Hunt would have been 102 years of age on August 18th and the Hunt family wish to express gratitude for the care received at Callingwood Down Senior's Complex and the Palliative Care Unit, Carbonear General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Lily (April 2009), parents: Mark and Caroline Hunt; brothers: Jabez and Clarence; sisters: Gladys Starkes and Cassandra (Cassie) Matthews; son-in-law Murdock Slade. Leaving with a lifetime of cherished memories are sons Freeman (Marion Morgan), Frank (Sue Keating), Abram (Alberta Keating) David (Georgina Keating) and Victor (Brenda Andrews); daughters Olive (Roy) Ralph and Bernice (Murdock-deceased) Slade; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Litzie and Grace Hunt, brother-in-law: Ralph (Evelyn) Warford, special niece: Myra (George-deceased) King and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Pentecostal Tabernacle, Clarke's Beach. Visitation Monday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Pentecostal Tabernacle, Clarke's Beach with interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery.
