Tremblay, Gaston Wilbrod passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the William Albert House in Emerald Park, SK. Gaston, at the age of 79 was predeceased by his beloved wife Val (1983), and by his daughter Gale (2004). Loving father of Annette Carter (Lyle), Leonard (Janice), Robin (Michele) and Randy (Cheryl). Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Pam), Brad (Mandy), Jamie Lee, Stephanie, Jennifer, Derek, Rhett, Riley and great-grandfather of Boston and Reese. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Rose Marie Webb, and by brothers Romeo (Yolande) and Andre (Lydia), and by his numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Charlene Oliver. Gaston was the eighth child born to Wilbrod and Berthe Tremblay, in Coderre Sk. He grew up attending the St. Charles Schoolhouse in Courval, and spent his entire life on the family farm, first working for his father, but then taking over the farm himself. He married his soul mate Val Lee in 1956 and the couple farmed together faithfully raising their family. After Val's passing (1983), Gaston remained on the farm until his recent move to Emerald Park. He will forever be remembered for his keen sense of humour and his entertaining stories, which made for great conversations. In keeping with Gaston's wishes, his closest friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W. Moose Jaw, on Thursday, August 5th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will take place at the Courval Cemetery following the service.
