After a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, Bill fell asleep in death on August 5, 2010. He leaves behind his wife Gwen, his daughter Brenda, son-in-law Ivan, granddaughters Sarah & Rachel (all of Brampton, ON); sisters Ann (New Minas, NS), Isabel (Corner Brook, NL), Joan (Corner Brook, NL); brothers Ira (Corner Brook, NL) and Bob (Corner Brook, NL). He is predeceased by his sister Rhoda and brothers Don & Alex. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives & friends. Bill spent many of his working years as a Millwright Machinist in the North Star Cement in Corner Brook. In 1967, he moved to St. John's to become a machinist instructor at the College of Trades & Technology. He transferred to several vocational schools across the island, before retiring and returning to Corner Brook. In 2004, Bill & Gwen moved to Brampton, Ontario, to be closer to their only daughter Brenda, and her family. Memorial Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 90 McLaughlin Road South, Brampton, Ontario, L6Y 2C7.
