It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey James Newbury, age 88, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, August 6, 2010.

Predeceased by his first wife - Irene Newbury; infant daughter - Golda Newbury; parents - Samuel & Dorothy Newbury; siblings - Gladys Matthews (Leslie), Mary Critch (Ernest), Ethel Dyer (Leander), Marjorie Whalen (Reginald), and Eleazer Newbury (Gladys); parents-in-law - Jacob & Lavinia Martin; siblings-in-law - Doris Wimbleton, William Martin, Claude Fradsham, and Stella Decker.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife - Doris Newbury, Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre - Residential Care Unit, Baie Verte, NL; children - Alma Foster (Claude), Joyce Gale (Clifford), both of Baie Verte, NL, Dot Gray (David), Kingston, ON, Mavis Garland (Daniel), Regina, SK, Sharon Newbury (Sean Ramrup), Toronto, ON, and Glen Newbury (Cathy), Shoe Cove, NL; grandchildren - Todd Foster (Trina Lewis), Steven Foster (Tina), and Shawna Regular (Myles); Krista Collins (David) and Kelly Foster (Leroy); Curry Gray (Diana), Jamie Gray (Tara), and Christopher Gray (Shannon); Sheldon Walbourne (Lynn) and Melaine Welder (Stacey); Jasmine Ramrup; Mark Newbury (Collen Wadden) and Natasha Newbury (Andrew Courtney); great-grandchildren - Abigail, Zachary, and Cooper; Gracie, Jacob, and Julia; April, Joshua, Ethan, Sydney, and Alyssa; Hannah, Jaxxon, Hayden, and Hudson; Bailey and Carter; siblings-in-law - Eric Martin (Ruby) and Joyce Burton, both of Springdale, NL, Jacob Martin (Ruby), La Scie, NL, Boyce Martin (Daisy), St. Stephen, NB, and Evelyn Bradley, Guelph, ON; many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Rev. Bruce Rideout and Rev. Guy Matthews conducted the funeral service at First United Church & Cemetery, Shoe Cove, NL on Tuesday, August 10, 2010.

Pallbearers were son - Glen Newbury and daughters - Alma Foster, Joyce Gale, Dot Gray, Mavis Garland and Sharon Newbury.
