The death of Parker E. Hamilton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, N.B., on Monday, August 16, 2010, age 76 years, formerly of Little Sands, Prince Edward Island.
Born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, the son of the late Roy and Edith (Moore) Hamilton. Parker was a retired Funeral Director and Embalmer and throughout his career had owned and operated funeral homes in all the Maritime Provinces. In health his hobby was flying, holding a private pilot license for over 35 years.
Survived by his wife, Colleen (MacDonald) Hamilton, Fredericton, N.B.; his daughter, Belinda Machon (Glen), Murray Harbour, P.E.I.; his sons, Sullivan Hamilton (Carol) and Ed Hamilton (Sharon), Fredericton, N.B.; his sister, Phyllis Walters (Stuart), New Glasgow, N.S.; his grandchildren, Brodie Machon (Erin), Charlottetown, P.E.I.; Tyson Machon (Casey) Vancouver, B.C.; Aaron Hamilton (Christa-Lee), Calgary, AB; and Loreigh Hamilton (Greg), St. Andrew's, N.B.
By personal request cremation will take place.
Visitation will be held at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home, Montague, P.E.I., on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6-9 p.m.
A graveside service will take place in Murray Harbour Cemetery on Friday, August 20, 2010, at 11 a.m.
For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
