Celia Florence Dobson, 91, of Fawcett's Special Care Home, Petitcodiac and formerly Dobson's Corner passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Kinnear Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Eastman and Rhoda (Killam) Demont. A homemaker she was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly in Petitcodiac. She enjoyed gospel music and for years played piano at Full Gospel Assembly, Killams Mills. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and cooking and was a baker at the former Avards Bake Shop, Moncton. Survived by her children George (Reta) of Rowly Mass., Ann Fawcett (Sterling) of Moncton, Bernice Fawcett (Stanley) of Petitcodiac; a sister Sadie McCully (late Ross) of Moncton; brother Curtis Demont (Leona) of Harewood; sister in law Harriett Demont of Petitcodiac; eight grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband George F. (2003); grandson James Dobson; sisters Lena Gammon, Muriel Fowler, Jennie Church, Velma Duncan, Stella Ogilvie, Edith McKay; brothers Omer and Basil Demont.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the Funeral will be in the Chapel Monday, August 23 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Calvin Fenwick officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
