RHODENIZER, Rosetta "Rose" - 89 of Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co., passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Mountain Lea Lodge. Bridgetown. Born in London, England, she was the daughter of the late George J. and Rosetta (Bush) Kingston. Rose came to Nova Scotia as a War Bride and was past president of the Nova Scotia War Brides Association. She was a receptionist with Dr. Frank W. Morse for 21 years and for 13 years with Dr. Grant Goodine both of Lawrencetown. Rose was a member of the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church, Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Past Chair of the Finance Committee, Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #112, former member of the Church Choir, the Lawrencetown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Rosemary Chapter IODE and Joan's Girls. During the Second World War, she ran one of her father's Green Grocer Stores. The military has been a very important part of her family. She is survived by son, Kenneth George (Linda), Stony Plain, AB; grandsons Kevin and Michael Rhodenizer, Stony Plain, AB; great granddaughter, Hannah Rose; step-granddaughter Hannah; daughter-in-law, Elaine (Church) Rhodenizer, Ottawa, ON, grandchildren, Kelly and Derek Rhodenizer, Ottawa, ON and cousin, George (Sheila) Read, London, England. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George, son, Ronald John and brother, George "Jack" Kingston. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service was held Sunday, August 15 2010 in the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church, Pastor Patty Beals officiated. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown.
