Mrs. Olive Schenk, age 96, of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully on September 2, 2010. Born on the family farm in the Blue Hill district, she received her education at Ridley School. Olive married Emil in 1936 and they farmed in the Blue Hill district until retiring to Moose Jaw in 1959. Olive was a member of Grandview United Church. Predeceased by her parents Hannah and Jack Glover; her husband Emil; sister Jane Tait; and brother Cecil "Jake" Glover, Olive is survived by her children: son Merv (Ruth); daughters, Fay (Bill) Murphy, Carol Martynook, and Bev (Dave) Crifero - Pembroke, ON; son-in-law Roger Martynook; grandchildren: Ron, David (Christine), and Curtis (Marci) Schenk; Roz (Marty) Rodgers, John Murphy; Trevor (Lynn Chaisson), Steve, Paul Martynook; Corey (Lisa) Easton and Tasha (Brian) Todd; seventeen great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Lynne Clarke will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
