DENNIS, Tracie Ann Marie - 34, Truro, passed away peacefully into the arms of her loving Lord, on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 26, 1976, in Sydney, she was a daughter of Clarence and Brenda (Mullin) Dennis, Truro. Tracie was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Truro. She graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre in 1997 and has worked at Colchester Community Workshop for the past 13 years. Tracie enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and Masters where she excelled at bowling and lawn bowling. She loved swimming and also had a passion for dogs. She will be missed by her K-9 companion, Chummy. Along with her parents, Tracie is survived by her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marguerite Mullin, Bible Hill; brother, Heath (Nicole) Dennis, Upper Stewiacke; sisters, Tawnya (Joel) Bigney, Thunder Bay, Ontario; Joyce Dennis, Truro; special friend, Dwayne Carroll, Upper Stewiacke; nephews, Brandon Dennis, Jude Bigney; nieces, Morgan Dennis, Abigail Dennis, Ella Bigney; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Jessie Dennis. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Tracie's family will receive friends from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m., today, September 10, 2010, from where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, Pastor Ron Ruse officiating. Reception will follow. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Tracie's memory to Colchester Community Workshop are welcomed.
