Passed away at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga, Wednesday, September 22, 2010, just short of his 50th birthday, after a battle with cancer. Formerly of Long Harbour, NL. Predeceased by father Patrick and niece Kelly. Leaving to mourn, his wife of 25 years, Pamela (Pretty) formerly of Mount Pearl, NL; daughter Amanda (friend Andy); son Ryan and daughter Lauren. Sadly missed by his mother Jenny (Long Harbour, NL); his six brothers: Wayne (Marie), Brendan, Maurice (Sheila), Darrell, John (Wanda), Paddy (Trish) and five sisters: Paulette (Wayne), Sharon (Clayton), Mona (Barry), Patsy, Elexis (Dave); his parents-in-law Mildred and Ted Pretty (Mount Pearl, NL); brother-in-law Chris (Debbie). Much loved by 35 nephews and nieces. Jessie will be missed by many friends and co-workers of 24 years at Richard/Wilcox, his weekend friends at Pridhams Park and his life long friends Ray Murphy and Michelle. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Neweduk-Erin Mills" Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) from 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. A service of celebration of Jessie's life will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. A memorial service in Long Harbour, NL will be at a later date.
