The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, June 8, 2009, of Mr. Ronald W. (Ron) McKeigan of Charlottetown, age 71 years. Beloved husband of Joyce McKeigan (nee Kinch), and dear father of Colleen (Richard) Bérubé, Christine McKeigan-Armitage, and Karen (Darren) Gallant. He is also survived by four loving grandchildren Michael (Ana) Bérubé, Jennifer Bérubé, D’Arcy Gallant and Melissa Gallant, brother Wayne (Evelyn) McKeigan, nephew Dale (Janice) McKeigan, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Margaret, Mildred, Noreen, Teresa and Rose, brothers Nelson and Charles and infant daughter Ann. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ron’s memory may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
