It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother, Martha Frances Brocklehurst, on Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit surrounded by her family, following a brief illness, Martha Frances Brocklehurst, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her devoted husband and our wonderful father Patrick J. Brocklehurst (2001), darling young daughter Anne (1957) and beloved grandson Stephen (2008). Leaving to mourn are her seven children; three daughters: Cynthia (Gary) Gorman, Pamela (David) Hoddinott and Carol (Brian) Marsh; four sons: Gary (Rita), Randy (Newmarket, Ont.), Greg (Maxine, Ottawa) and Glenn (Della); seventeen grandchildren: Jennifer (David) Natsheh, Andrea (Daniel) Burry, Laura (Andrew) Graham, John (Susan) Brocklehurst, Matthew Brocklehurst (fiancée Meighan Meaney), Danielle and Sarah Hoddinott, Darrell (Julia) Brocklehurst, Allison Brocklehurst, Krista (Tim) Crowther, Robyn (Jeremy) Long, Erin, Sean and Katie Brocklehurst, Meghan and Lesley Marsh; seven great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends, especially her many friends and exceptional staff at Cambridge Estates who loved and took wonderful care of her. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 12 noon-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from The Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
