Passed away at the Palliative Care Unit at the L.A. Miller Centre on Monday, June 8, 2009, Eric William Sharpe, aged 68 years, of Paradise. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Eliza (Lynch) Sharpe and sister Hazel Chaytor. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Ruby (Rowe) and son Stephen (Colinda); daughters: Sherry (Doug) and Tina (Gerry); five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Eric will also be missed by a large circle of family members; brothers: Frank, Thomas (Lillian), Phil (Myrtle), Ron (Doreen), Ken (Ruby) and sisters: Elsie (Arthur), Stella, Linda, Gladys and Isabelle; six sisters-in-law: Gloria (Doug), Margaret (Ralph), Donna (Bob), Gail, Bonnie and Gayna (Glenn). Also mourning Eric’s passing are his numerous nieces and nephews, his many friends throughout Paradise, especially his shed buddies. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, Mt. Pearl on Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Anglican Church, Paradise Road. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eric’s memory may be made to the Daffodil Place.
