1951-2010 - The death of Christina "Anne" Cummings of Johnville occurred peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family. Born April 25, 1951 in Bath, she was the daughter of Alice (McCullough) Higgins and the late William Higgins. Anne was an avid gardener. She was an extraordinary sister who acted as a mother to the younger ones, mentor, counselor, peacemaker, and confidante. Anne was a great collector and reader of books and road maps. There hasn't been a Sudoko challenge invented that stumped her. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Cecil; her mother, Alice Higgins; five sisters, Noreen Rosa (Rick), Marion Higgins, Rosemary Brown (Leslie), Theresa Tompkins (Timmy) and Jackie Higgins; three brothers, Danny Higgins, Mike Higgins (Denise) and Joe Higgins; special niece, Kami and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville - Bristol on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 am from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville. Rev. David Fulton as celebrant & Rev. John Beaumaster concelebrant.
