Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on September 29, 2010, James Tobin, age 81 years, surrounded by his family. Leaving to mourn his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (nee Colbert); sons: Joe (Jessie), Francis, Billy (Christina), Keith (Alice), Derrick (Mary), Calvin (Donna), predeceased by Michael; daughters: Marilyn, Sheila, Elaine, Linda (Ken), Lisa (Patrick) and Sherry; 23 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Formerly with Hickman Motors Ltd. and a Member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as the Seniors Daffodil Club in the Goulds and 50+ in Witless Bay. He will always be remembered and sadly missed, but he did win his last game of cards. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Thursday, September 30th from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday, October 1st from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial from St. Michael's R.C. Church, St. Michael's on Saturday, October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Michael's R.C. Cemetery, St. Michael's.
