Raymond Bourgeois
Raymond Bourgeois, 83, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday October 3, 2010 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on July 5, 1927 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Auguste and Nathalie (Drisdelle) Bourgeois. He was a veteran from the Second World War and was employed at CN until his retirement in 1987. He was also a member of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Golden Age Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch No. 6. He is survived by his three children: Louise Long (Brian) and Charles Bourgeois of Moncton, Charlotte McPhee (Dale) of Quispamsis; two daughters-in-law: Cindy Bourgeois of Moncton and Suzanne Goudreau of Montréal; a sister, Jeannita Belliveau (late Gerry) of Moncton; two sisters-in-law: Edith Bourgeois (late Gérard) and Thérèse Cassidy (late Edward) of Moncton; six grandchildren: Jason (Tanya), Aaron (Amanda), Megan, Allison, Lauren and Christine; one great-grandson, Ethan; Raymond's special friend, Stella Léger; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Généva (Cassidy); one son Maurice; five sisters: Olive, Mélendée, Mémée, Ella and Maria; two brothers: Gérard and Aldor.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Thursday October 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
