FRENCH RIVER - George "Earl" Haggart, age 62, of French River, passed away suddenly at home on October 5, 2010.
Born at French River, he was a son of Jean (Browning) Haggart, French River and the late Duncan Haggart.
Earl was employed with the Lands and Forests for a number of years. He liked working in the woods, playing cards and old time music. Earl loved taking care of the French River Cemetery. He was a member of Sutherland's River Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his mother, Jean, French River; brother, Russell (Mary), Ontario; sister, Evelyn Anderson, French River; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Duncan; brother, James; and a sister, Doris.
His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sutherland's River Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial will be in French River Cemetery.
