Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, Marie Chafe of Harbour Grace, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband: Henry; son: Charles; daughter: Gail and sisters: Theresa and Freda. Left to mourn, one daughter: Madonna (Kevin) Martin, Harbour Grace; daughter-in-law: Barbara, St. John's; four grandchildren: Trevor (Tina), Keith, Kevin (Colleen) and Brian (Shawna): seven great-grandchildren: Kerri, Ryan, Caitlin, Chelsea, Jaylynn, Julia and Andrew; one sister: Betty Savoie, Louisiana, USA; brother-in-law: Alex Nicholl, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Fr. F. J. Aylward conducted the Funeral mass on Thursday, October 7 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Harbour Grace. Interment took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Donations in her memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Project Restoration Fund.
