Glendon Allen Churchill aged 67 years of Valley Road, Cumb. Co., passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the Late David and Alma (McCarthy) Churchill.
Glen spent most of his working life as a mechanic, working in several garages in the area. He was a jack of all trades who enjoyed fishing, camping, three wheeling, gardening, his friends and family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Catherine Smith; daughters, Cindy (Peter) Dow, Southampton and Cathy (Rod Morris) Smith, Athol Road; son, Glendon (Betty) Churchill, Corner Brook, Newfoundland; sisters, Dwana Churchill and Edith (Michael) Ripley both of Springhill; brother, William (Evelyn) Churchill, Heather Beach; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Krystal, Stephen, Karen, Joshua and Jenna, great grandsons, Liam and Stephen; several nieces and nephews.
By Glen's request cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A gathering of Remembrance will be held at Glen and Katie's home, 1194 Valley Road, Cumb. Co., for family and friends on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 1 - 4 pm.
